Raven Row is an 18th century Grade I Listed silk mercers’ house in the Spitalfields area of East London. The building was severely damaged after a fire surged through the historic fabric in 1972. The new nonprofit art exhibition centre provides contemporary gallery space in the basement and within the eighteenth century Rococo rooms spread over three floors.
The remainder of the building comprises offices, two flats and a studio space on the third and fourth floor.
Raven Row was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe award in 2011 and in the same year won a RIBA award.
